Microsoft Imagine Cup

Background

The Imagine Cup is Microsoft’s annual technology competition where students design and deliver innovative software solutions to address global challenges such as improving education, combating AIDS, improving maternal health, and ensuring environmental sustainability. Thousands of students from over 125 schools throughout the country registered, and 22 student teams were chosen to participate in this year’s Imagine Cup 2011 U.S. Finals. For the first time, Microsoft conducted a People’s Choice online voting competition via a custom Facebook application, inviting the public to rally behind their favorite U.S. finalist team. 

My Role

I helped design the user experience of the Facebook application, partnering with Crimson Consulting, and also some printed pieces including a poster and postcard to help generate interest.
